Tho Irish party made vehement protests, and alter lengthy altercations the police entered the van and forcibly ejected a young man. Miss M’Swiney created a further scene. She and another lady were ejected and the coffin was removed by a large armed escort and placed aboard the steamer. The disappointed Irishmen remained on tho quay.
