I The floods in the Manawatu are the highest for many years. ’ The road com\mnnicuting between Foxton, Shannon and Levin is impassable, and the Slian--1 non bridge approach has been washed away. _ Tho dairy farmers in the Mon\toa district have had a trying time, considerable Josses in stock and fencing being reported. Tho flood waters are now receding.
