Tlie wedding; was solemnised at Colombo Street _ Methodist Church, oj'deiiham, on Wednesday afternoon of •lonn Horace Tonkin, youngest , son of Hr and Sirs Clark, of Longfellow Street, Sydenham, and Olive Emma, oldest daughter of Sir and Sirs A Slanhire, Aylmer Street, Beckenham, ihe bride, who was given away by her father, wore an exquisite frock of whito crcpe-de-chine, and georgette, trimmed with seed pearls, and court train lined with apricot georgette and beautifully embroidered in silver, the veil being arranged in coronet style with wreath of orange blossom. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Connio Bates, wore a oretty frock of pink crepe-dc-chino, ivith georgette frills and designs couched m pink and heliotrope picture hat. _ I’he second bridesmaid, bliss Juanita Manhire (sister of the bride), wore a frock of heliotrope crepe-de-f'hino and leghorn hat, trimmed with mnk and heliotrope to match. Mr Morton .Manlnre (brother of the bride) acted as best man, whilst Mr Max Manhire atteiKlg't as groomsman, TV weddinn breakfast w-as held, at the Cadena Kooms. The wedding breakfast was held at the residence of Mrs Reynolds, Suffolk Street, Limvood, Mrs Reynolds receiving her guests wearing heliotrope crepe de chine. The happy couple left for the north, Mrs Giilcspio wearing a fawn gabardine costume with hat to match. The principal event in a young girl’s life is her wedding day.
