Sir Oscar Borer, B.E. of Wellington and Canterbury College, who has been for some time an officer of the Port of London Authority, . has just received further promotion, and has been transferred from Tilbury to the Resident Engineer’s Office of the Royal Albert Dock Extension, North Woolwich, where the new dock measuring 4000 ft x 600 ft x 37ft Gin,has recently been flooded .in connection with the main dock '(writes the London correspondent of the “ Star ” under date September 91. The locks which measure 800 ft x 1.00 feet x 45ft are. still under construction as are the swing bridges, sheds, cranes and so forth, and it'E in connection with this work that Mr Borer is engaged.
