RANGIORA MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

Mr V. Cr. Day. S.M., presided at the Magistrate’s Court to-day. James O’Connor. charged with being drunk in a railway carriage, was convicted and discharged, and for using obscene language was fined £3. James M. Dale, for a first breach of his prohibition order, was convicted and ordered, to pay 7s costs. Frank Joyce was fined 20s and costs 7s for riding his motor-cycle at night without a light. On the application of Mr Van Asch an order against 11. H.-and T. Hanna for the maintenance of their sister was cancelled. CIVIL CASE. Tho National Mortgage and Agency Company and 0 M. Anderson (Mr Acland) sued C. Chambers (Mr Johnston) for £3O or tho return of a cow and calf, and Chambers counter-claimed for £5 damages. The cow and call were returned after proceedings were taken, and judgment was given for plaintiff «m tho counter claim.
