A verified account of the "explosion on the tanker Crowe, shows that five aro killed, six seriously injured and forty slightly injured. Thero was a terrific explosion of oil vapours in the hold. Several hundred who were engaged on repairs to tho Crowe were imperilled, and six largo steamers lying nearby wore endangered. Tho firemen’s remarkable work prevented moro serious damage, as well as 3 greater loss of life.
