FARMERS' CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION BALL.
The annual ball of tho New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association, which was held at. the Art Gallery last evening, can be numbered amongst the list of very successful functions which bavo taken place there this season. Although the weather conditions could not have been worse, those present quite filled the floor of tho ballroom. The ballroom was beautifully decorated in salmon-pink and black, the firm’s colours. The walls were covered with white muslin, with a deep frieze of salmon and black running round the top. Overhead were streamers of the same colours intermingled with hanging greenery, and with large kewpies suspended in various parts of the room. Mirrors decorated with salmon and black were set at intervals in tile walls and in the corners. The permanent gallery served the dual purpose of loungeroom and supper-room, the lounge being effectively decorated with palms and cinerarias. The members of the committee in charge of the arrangements were:—Misses Varrie.. Allan, Duke, Pearce, Toon and Giles, and Messrs H. Vcitch, Dunstan, Butler, Guy, Griffiths, Bissett, Haherfield, Johnston, Morrison, Erasmuson, Kihblewhite, Clajton and F. Nevin (honorary secretary). The M.O.’s were Messrs ■Dnnstant and Erasmuson. Amongst those present were:—Mr and Mrs A. W. Jamieson, Mr and Airs Butler, Mr and Mrs Jones, Mr and Mrs Cunningham, Mr and Mrs J. W. Beanland, Mr and Mrs Piper, Mrs and the Misses Veitch, Airs Erasmuson, Misses Dyer, L. Harper, Perkins, M’Lelland, Crawford, Thompson, Ward, Quain, Canavan, M. Poore. Graves, M’Quirter, Sherwood (2), M. Russell,' Fry, Woodlield, Annum!, Cooper, Dickson, Fleming, Valvey, Courtney, Bishop, Round, Dickson, Judge, E. Sherrills. I. Kerr, Moir W) and Donaldson, and Messrs Joe, Eden, Jeffs, Poore, Lanyon. Armitage (2), Thompson, Eclginton, Cooper, D. Gibbs, Banvick. Bishop. Inwood, Sherrilfs, M’Donald and Farrell.
