An enthusiastic meeting of the women’s committee of the Save the Children Campaign was held at the Y.M.C.A. yesterday. Mrs J. 11. Wilson opened the meeting with a brief address on the objects of the campaign. Mrs Lavie was elected chairwoman and Miss Pync honorary secretary and treasurer. Members of the Red Cross Society present agreed to organise their districts for collecting. Conveners for districts were appointed as follow: Mrs F. H. Pyne, city (residential area); Mrs R. Anderson, Sydenham and Beckenham ; Mrs Archer and Mrs J. H. Wilson, Fendalton arid Bryndwr; Mrs Herbert, Linwood; Miss Knight and Miss Maling, Merivale; Mrs Napier, Spreydon; Miss Stoddart, Cashmere Hills; and Mrs Worden, St Albans. It was stated that Red Cross members m other districts were being approached- ~T' Vo representatives of the Catholic women s Red Cross attended and stated that a meeting was to bp held and all possible would be done to help the cause.
