SOCIAL AND DANCE.

The annual social and dance bold by the employees of Messrs Aulsebrook and Company, m the Art Gallery last evening, proved very bright and enjoyable. Mr R E. M’Dougall financially assisted the committee to a cenerous extent. He and Mrs M’Dougall attended the latter being presented with a lovely bouquet of daffodils ami freesias. The ball-room looked well’ with blue and white decorations, while the lociugQ was handsomely furnished and decorated with palms and gorgeous cinerarias. There were about 250 people present most of whom danced, out tor the non-dancers a progressive euchre tournament was held. Interspersed between the dances wore musical items which were very much enjoyed The committee, who arranged the dance w'ere Misses L. French, P. Blacker, M M Cann. M.
