A collection of Nor inland orchids has been presented Id Canterbury Museum by Mr H. J. Matthews, of Kaitaia, North Auckland, and a collection of Now Zealand grasses by Mr D. Petrie, of Auckland. These collections will be added to the herbarium in the Museum. Two wekas have been presented by Mr G. Sutherland, Masterton; medals and badges by Mr F. C. B. Bishop; a North Island robin and a South Island robin, by Mr W. H. Tisdall; a South Island native thrush and a merganser from the Auckland I&. lands, by Mr E. F. dead: a mounted lisfjmmo dog belonging to Caotain Scott’s last expedition, by Mr H, f. ]>. Acland, and a specimen of volcanic rock at Hawaii,. by Pr 0. Chilton,
