Un the eve of his departure from New Zealand, Mr Cohen issued the following message: “I should like to express mv smeerest thanks to all those who have contributed to the success of my mission in Now Zealand, a success that has exceeded my anticipations. lam grateful to the Government and civic authorities for the cordial welcome they have tendr d to mo. to the public for the sympathyl ic hearing they have always accorded to me, and to the Press for tiie publicity and editorial support it 1m so readily given to the campaign. I thank‘fully acknowledge the very generous response made to my appeal by tho Jewish community, which, though small in numbers, has set an excellent examnlo r-o a.l dews in tho rest of the world.’ 1
