TO MAKE CANDLES.

1. Have ready some mutton fat ready melted. Then prepare the candle moulds. Double the candle cotton (which can be obtained from almost all grocers'), and cut it about Sin longer than the candle mould. Twist it at the point and drop it into the mould. Have a strong round stick to thread through the loops at the other end of the cotton. Then tie a single knot in the cotton at the bottom to prevent the fat from running out of the niouls, lour the fat in when it is lukewarm, ind set aside till perfectly cold. Score the candle is drawn out the single ■.not which is tied at the end of the '■otton must be cut off- 2. To one!lnrd of beef fat allow two-thirds of mutton tallow.
