AUSTRALIAN COAL FOR SWEDEN.
London newspapers announce that as a result of restriction of coal export from the United Kingdom a Middles, brough firm has purchased MO,OOO tons of Australian coal for delivery-in Sweden during the second half of 1920 The coal was bought in Australia at 22s (id a, tom and the freight will be from 160s o l(0s- - Even then it can undersell British coal bv 30s a ton. The same firm is negotiating for a further 100,000 tons from Australia. At least one Japanese vessel has already taken some of ! this coal, receiving £8 10s freight.
