Mr Ross, of Canada, the challenger for the America’s Cup, interviewed, said the people of Canada were enthusiastic about the challenge. He did not think it would be difficult to raise the money required. The yacht will be schooner rigged and of the fisherman typo. It will bo entirely of Canadian design and construction and manner, and commanded by Canadian fishermen. It will bo able to go off shore in any weather, Mr Ross explained that the idea of employing Mr Nicholson to design the yacht was changed, because Mr Nicholson insisted on too much of the work on the challenger being done in England.
