Tho Canopus v/ao dispatched for Westport at 1 p.m. yesterday to again load for Lyttelton. The Kini was due at Westport yesterday from Wellington to load for Lyttelton. The Kakapo should have sailed for Greymouth last night, but was prevented from doing so owing to a shortage of ono fireman. The chief engineer was also indisposed. She was to leave this morning as soon as a fireman was secured. The Nga.toro is expected to reach Lyttelton from Newcastle, with a load of coal (or tho Christchurch Gasworks, on September 11. PERSONAL. ' Mr L. M’Murrioh, chief engineer of the Corinna, has left that vessel. Mr Malloch, chief engineer of tho Patecna, has sigpd of! the vessel's articles. Ho has been succeeded by Mr A. Inverarity. Captain J. U. Morris is in command of tho Westralia, vico Captain Bates, who is proceeding to England to bring out tho Nairanti. Captain -It. J. Hamilton, formerly of tho Stella, is now master of the steamer Malaita. INTERCOLONIAL SERVICE. The Moana arrived from Wellington this morning with Australian cargo for discharge at this port, including a qyantity of fruit. The vessel will leave for Wellington again this evening and to-morrow she will bo dispatched for Sydney The Westralia. was not expected to leave Wellington until late last night. She will probably not arrive in Lyttelton until this afternoon, in which case she will not have her cargo handled in time to permit her to sail for Dunedin and Bluff this evening. OVERSEAS SHIPPING. The Ayrshire is to leave Auckland on Saturday for Wellington and southern ports. The Canastota is to leave Wellington tomorrow for Brisbane, where she will complete discharging her cargo from New York. The Ruapehu is expected to leave Wellington on Tuesday next for Auckland. The Abadesa left Sydney for Wanganui on Tuesday. She is due at Wanganui on Monday and is expected at Wellington on September 14. The Abadesa will leave Wellington on September 21 for London, via Panama. The Argyllshire is reported as having left Newport News on August 29, en route from Wellington to London. She is expected to arrive at London on September iu. The Otarama is to leave Waitora for Wellington on Saturday to complete Homeward loading. She is set . down to sail for London about September 9. The Mahana, en route from Newcastle, expects to reach Wellington to-night. After discharging a cargo of hunker coal tho Mahana will proceed to Napier, returning on September 22 to complete Homeward loading, and sailing for London on September 28. The City of Corinth left Auckland on Tuesday for Wellington., Sho is dua at Wellington to-day to continue tho discharge of her cargo from New York. The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner Kia Ora will be taken to the stream at Wellington this evening, and will sail at daybreak tomorrow for London, via Panama. _ The Port Denison was timed to leave Wellington for London, this morning, via Panama. The Matntua, is now expected to arrive in Lyttelton on Sunday from Wellington to diecharge West of England cargo, Tho Iceland, with a largo consignment of case oil for the Vacuum Oil Company, did not leave New York until August 22. On her last trip from New York to Lyttelton, tha Iceland took thirty-five clays, so that aha should arrive hero on or about September 20. The Essex is expected on Saturday morning to continue her loading of mutton for New York. The Shshtisla, in addition to being engaged yesterday in discharging her American cargo,' was busily engaged taking in hunker coal from the Kahika. The Shahrista- will leave for Dunedin and Adelaide this evening. Tho Waimana, at present discharging at Dunedin, is expected here on Saturday. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
