It is understood that tho committee appointed at the recent conference of sporting bodies to consider the amateur status question has completed its report, which recommends that all sports, professional and amateur, should bo controlled by an amateur federation in future, but that an opportunity must bo provided for every individual professional to receive reinstatement if he desires. Tho report will shortly be submitted to a further conference of sporting bodies.
