PARLIAMENT PAYS LAST TRIBUTE.

AN IMPRESSIVE FAREWELL (Special to tho “Star.”) WELLINGTON, September 2. W hen to-day the body of the late lion vv, D. S. Mac Donald was taken to the train, it was followed by a largo procession of parliamentarians, representatives of tho Public Service, and lending Wellington citizens. Among those present wore Sir Robert Stout (the Administrator, who will bo represented at the funeral by Mr Cooke, his associate), the Prime Minister, members of Cabinet, tho Speakers and tho oiiicials of both Houses, members of .the Press gallery, and a large number of parliamentary messengers. The coffin Was borne to the train from the hearse by tho Hon J. G. €oalss. Messrs T. M. vVillord, R. F. Bollard, R. Masters, R-. W, Smith, W. I>. Lysnar (members of Parliament), and Mr George Lysnar. Parliament will bo represented at the funeral by the Hon W. Nosworthv and Mr J?'. if. Hockley, on behalf of the Government party, and by Messrs T. Y. Seddon, G. W Forbes and the Hon A. T. Nagata, from the Liberal side. Both morning newspapers published in their editorial columns a fine eulogy of the deceased, whose high-minded adherence to national interests as distinct from political party considerations, is praised as his great outstanding quality.
