POLAND AND RUSSIA.
ALLIED PEACE PROPOSALS. By Telegnnli—Pica* Association—Copyright. . Reuter's Telegrams. (Received July 17, 3.2 a p.m.) WARSAW, July 16. It is doubtful whether Poland' will accept the British armistice proposals. The British Note to Lenin has created a most unfavourable impression in Poland, It is considered inevitable, in view of its terms, that M. Grnbski should leave Spa without consenting to the armistice. LONDON, Juljf 16, A Moscow message states that at a great meeting, discussing peace with Poland, Thicbcrin favoured the opening by Trotsky of immediate negotiations. Trotsky, on the other hand, protested in most violent terms, ami obtained unanimous applause on declaring that peace would be signed only after the triumphal entry of the Reels into Warsaw.
