BANKS’ AND STOCK AUCTIONEERS’ BALL.

o A clear, starlit night and delightful surroundings were the primary elements ot the groat success of the conibiued Banks’ and Stock Auctioneers’ ball, \\ltich was hold at the Aletropolitan Trotting Grounds, Addington, last night. To these the committee added excellent arrangements, and a largo cnov.'d brought' gaiety. From eight 0 clock trams and motor-cars poured a continuous stream of dancers into the grounds, and by nine, when the bali staited, there was a very large assemblage. The kiosk, in which the dancing took place, was hung with Chineso lanterns outside, and inside the lilumimuion came from lemon-shaded lights. Around the interior of tiie kiosk palms and other greenery gave a pretty effect, with intermingled wattle blossoms. Tho supper tables were prettily decorated with flowers, red berries and rod-shaded lights. The chaperones were Airs G. A. U. Tapper. -His C. J. Ronaldson, Airs Norton brands, Airs J. C.
