Mr Hughes, replying, said tho power to deal with the high cost of living was refused to the Government by the turning down of the referendum, duo to the opposition of the Labour Party. He declared that tho present policy ot the Labour Party ir. one of destnihtiop in industrialism, to go slow in nationalism, and in Parliament to ft asto time. The debate was adjourned. ‘
