He said that, should* the Democrats win, the League would ho ratified, ami America would immediately become a party to tho twenty wars now going on in the world. The Republican Barty and candidates glad'., accepted the challenge to make the election a national referendum on the question as to whether wo shall have four yea re more of Democratic readiness to’ surrender the Republic’s interests. A message from Chicago states that the following, planks have been put before the Third Party convention:—Recognition of the Irish Republic and the Russian Soviet; ,public ownership of railroads, stodkyards and other public utilities; initiative, referendum and recall; tho adoption of Mr Samuel Goraperss Labour programme, which the Republican and Democratic conventions I ejected; repeal of all espionage laws; referendum in all wars, save when the United States is invaded; tho withdrawal of United States troops from Europe; and soldiers’ bonus, LABOUR JOINS THIRD ** PARTY.
