There wan an extraordinary scene in the House of Representatives after Mr Hughes refused to discuss the Father Jcrger case. Air Tudor attempted •to more a censure motion, but before he commenced a woman in the gallery shouted loudly at Air Hughes regarding the treatment, of Father Jerger and then threw into the chamber a bundle of literature on the’ subject-. This wag a signal for concerted action on the part, of other women in the gallery, who screamed, _ “Why don’t you give him a fair trial you‘dirty rotter?” arid showered printed statements upon the heads of those below. After a struggle the iuterjectors were removed.
