Another, intended for semi-mourning, comprised a single black pltuno lippeu with silver, and silver fantaisies, the whole set in an ebony stick patterned with sparkling crystals. Tins method of flecking the feathers used with_ a contrasting colour is certainly decorative. ‘White, tipped with rose, looks lovely for a girl, and for her mother th© parti-coloured plume is available. Eg'—tiau red on one side of tho centre- spine, ami lemon on the other,.or, let us say, scarab blue, its brightness tempered by a certain green, rather of tho.olive persuasion, that harmonises just perfectly with it. Marabou and quills arc added attractions to the possibilities of fans.
