A handsome Italian airman of twentytwo, Alfredo Allegretti,. was introduced lately to Princess Francesca Rospigliosi, a lovely girl Of seventeen, They became' snamored of each otiler, but the mother of the Princess rejected the young man, and sent her daughter to the seaside. Alfredo .committed / suicide, and the mother, - summoned to the bedside of the ' Princess a fortnight later, found Francesca dying of a broken heart. Tho mother now talks of retiring to a convent.
