When Kolyma finished third in the Middle Park Plate at Riccarton on Saturday she credited her sire, Sutala, with'his fibt stake earnings for the present season. The Trentham trainer, J. W. landWe recommend that stabling for horses and accommodation for lads should bo provided free of charge by all racecourses. Those racecourses which have neither stabling nor dormitories of their own should provide the necessary accommodation for the meeting by issuing “billeting orders” to trainers on demand. Forage should be provided at cost price and reasonable terms for catering for lads should be arranged by the racecourses. •At a meeting,of the committee of the Wairio Jockey Club held on Thursday evening, the right of G. S. Smith to ride Cold-water in the Nightcaps Trot was again considered. By a printer’s error the race card stated that Dandy Dragoon was owned by M. M’Randlo and trained by A. M Lellan, when it should have been owned by J. Lake and trained by G. S. Smith. At the previous inquiry Smith denied that he was the trainer of the horse, but admitted that Dandy Dragoon had been in his stable since January 14 (the date he alleged he received the horse). At Thursday night’s meeting the nomination form, dated December 29, filled m and signed by G. S. Smith with himself stated in the form as trainer was produced. At the previous inquiry both Smith and Lake attempted to prove that Lake was the trainer of Dandy Dragoon, but it has since transpiled that Lake did not have a trainer’s license. The committee on Thursday evening, under paragraph “H” of rule 33' decided to disqualify G. S. Smith for three months for wilfully and corruptly supplying false information,'
