WEDDING.
REUS'D—BEATTIE. A Pretty wedding was solemnised at tho Church of Christ, Moqrhouso Avenue, on Wednesday last. The contractmg parties Wcrc Aly Douglas R. Rhind, sou of Mr John Rhind, of Christchurch and Miss Agnes M. L. Beattie, daughter of Mrs John Beattie, also of Christchurch. Pho bridegroom recently returned to the Dominion after throe years war service. The church was tastefully decorated by friends of the nappy couple, and tho ceremony was performed by Pn.stor J. j. Fraiiklvn. ihe brulo, who wag given away by her brother, Mr James Beattie, wore a pretty white embroidered wedding gown with handsome handworked tulle veil and orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet to corrusnoiul. The bridesmaids, Miss C. Beattie (sister of the bride) and Miss G. Rhine! (sister of the bridegroom), wore dressed in white voile, with touches ot mauve and pink and carried bouquets to match. After the ceremony a party of friends were entertained by Airs Beattie in the Selwyn Street Hall, where a wedding breakfast was served and a number of toasts wore honoured. The bride and bridegroom wore the recipients of numerous valuable presents. Subsequently tho newly-wedded couple left for a honeymoon Hip to the North 'lsland.
