FOUND IN HOTEL YARD.

Early yesterday morning a motorcar, belonging to Eric Alabin, disappeared from Karaka Pay, where Hie owner and his father live. Alcssts Alabin sec out in another car to search lor tho missing automobile and found it in the yard of the hotel at Porirua, where it had been placed hy two youths, then having a meal in tho hotel’ Confronted by the owner, one of the youths staled that he had hired tho car from a man whoso name lie did not ,chow. The other youth said that he had adjusted the sparking plug for a man, in Courtenay Place ami had hired the car from him lor £1 for the day. r ihe youths, who gave their names as Fred Pallettc and Jack Kirkland AA'att, each eighteen years of age, were brought before the Magistrate's Court to-day. and charged with the theft of the car. 'I hov were remanded for a week, it being slated that other charges were pending. Rail was allowed each in £2‘it) and one surety for a like amount.
