But. at any event lie had the razors carefully preserved in his palace. 'Phis is opo of the discoveries of tho Eckley B. Coxc, Junr., expedition to Eygpt, which lias been excavating tho palace of the ancient pharaohs for, tho last live years. Revelations ot (tho life of ancient Egypt more important than' any others made in this century are expected with the continuation of the work of exvacating the palace of Menenthah. Dr Clarence S. Fishett, leader, of the expedition, in a letter .to tho University Museum, reports ho ( already has uncovered about twef fifths of- the palace, including • the front of the structure, the throne room and the thrones intact. The luxurious private’rooms of Rameses show that he Was an artist in fielf-adornraent and an archffiologist. Some of his treasures include relics of thoStone Age which may ho 30,000 years old. The work of tho expedition was started five years ago, but was discontinued last winter on account of tho war. It is being watched hv Undents of ancient civilisation in nil parts of flic world.
