T l ' lo Tolno correspondent of the ‘ Daily Express” interviewed M. Hara tho Premier, who considers that the hitch regarding Australia and the Pacific Islands is easily adjustable. Japan does not object to Australia receiving the mandate, but considers tho tone of tho mandate unsatisfactory. Japanese traders at present are treated worse than under Gorman ownership. Japan cannot, accept such a position, and hopes that Britain will secure an amendment. Japan has no territorial ambitions in Siberia, and will not take an inch of Russian territory. She, will withdraw every soldier the moment the Bolshevik menace is removed. Japan wishes to act m harmony with America and the Entente, but cannot permit tho Bolshevik clanger at her doors. Apart from this Japan refuses to embark on an extensive military intervention.
