PRIZE GIVING.

OURUHIA SCHOOL. The “ break-up ” of the Gambia School toolplace on Friday evening. Mr TI, J. Horne presided over a very large attendance of parents, committeemen a nd children. The rtairman introduced tho new head 1.- aster, Mr V. J. Gamble, end the new mistress, Miss b! Hurley. A good programme of school items was then gone through. Choruseo and rounds by the senior scholars and action songs by tho infants wore creditably rendered, while Miss Dolly Williams and Masters Jack and Athol Brown .and Harold Broadhurst also contributed items.

Prizes were distributed ns follows; Standard B.—Norman Ashby ffive years' full attendance and most helpful pupil) and Daisy williams.

Standard s.—Vera Chenery, Harold Broadhurst. Jack Brown, Lewis Johnston end William Morris.

Standard t.—Mavis Wilson, Dolly Williams, Athol Brown and Clarence Pcngolly.
