Mr and ’Mrs H. Van Ascii (Rangiorn) left Christchurch on Saturday evening for Auckland.
Air and Mrs Caws (Invercargill) are staying at Warners. They have been visiting in the North Island. Airs J. Nevill Ritchie, Aliss Ritchie, Dv Russell Ritchie and Miss Rattray (Dunedin) are staying at AVnrner’s. ’
Airs J. AI. Gorton (Terako Downs) arrived in Christchurch on Saturday, aud is slaying at Warner’s. Miss Nan Rich has returned to Christchurch after a motoring trip to Invercargill. . _ The Avonside nursing division of the St John Ambulance held its final meeting of tho year at the brigade rooms, Mrs Watkins (lady superintendent) being in charge. Airs G. Rhodes presented the silver cups to tbo winning squads in home nursing .and first aid, work, and Dr Curry gave a very instructive lecture on home hygiene.

Htss Dorothy Newton left Christenurch on Saturday evening on a visit to bir brancis and Lady Bell. Mr and Airs A. J. Murray, Mrs R oss OVoodbank, Kaikoiira), and Misa Elsie Mood (Ashburton), arc staying at the Clarendon.
Air and Airs Edgar Jones, who hn.vo boeu in Los Angeles for several months, have returned to New Zealand, and are back in Timaru. On Friday next at Timaru Miss Stella i Murray will give a concert. Miss Mnrrny rail be assisted by Miss Kathleen Creaswcll, Mr. Leslie Andreae and Aliss Muriel Little.
