PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. Tho annual " breaking-up ” ceremony of the Richmond School took place on Thursday norning. Mr H. Langford, chairman of the School Committee, addressed tho children and presented the prizes and certificates. He announced that nest year a new school in brick Would replace tho wooden building now standing. Mr I). J. Sullivan, tho newly sleeted member lor Avon, was present and rayo a short address to the children. The following is tho prize-list:— Dus of the school, gold medal—Gertrude Batchelor.
