SHIPPING NOTES. Tho Waitemata, arrived at Wellington yesterday from Newcastle. Tho Wakatu is timed to leave for Kaikoura and Wellington this evening. The Ngahero should sail for tho Chathams ■from Wellington this evening, but no doubt will bo delayed by the wet weather this morning. It is reported that tho Maramit will shortly proceed to the United Kingdom to have an oil burning plant installed. Tho Storm is expected to bo docked at Port Chalmers to-day to undergo her overhaul. The Navua was delayed at Port Chalmers on Saturday. It is hoped to got her away tor Oamiiru, Timaru and Auckland to-day. The Wootton completed her loading on Saturday afternoon and sailed for Wellington. The Breeze, after unloading her cargo of transhipments from Wellington and loading general cargo for the south, proceeded to Dunedin on Saturday evening. Tho Cygnet loft on another trip to Titaitangi on Saturday evening to convey another load of sheep and cattle to Pigeon Bay. Tho Kittawa was due to leave Greymouth on Saturday night with a load of coal and timber for Lyttelton. After discharging she will return to tho same port to again load for Lyttelton. The Kaiapoi should arrive in Lyttelton on Wednesday from Newcastle with coal. Tho Wcstralia arrived on Saturday morning and unloaded a quantity of cargo and transhipments from Melbourne. She sailed again on Saturday evening for Dunedin, Dmff and Melbourne. Tho Manuka is timed to leave Wellington

to-morrow evening', arriving hero on Wednosday morning, and will bo dispatched for Sydney, via Wellington, the same evening. The Monowai is expected back from Dunedin on Tuesday. She will leave Lyttelton the same evening for 'Wellington, Napier, Gisborne and Auckland. The Kurow in continuation of her voyage from San Francisco, resumed her voyage from Honolulu on November 29 to Napier, Lyttelton and Dunedin, with case oil and general cargo. The lonic is to leave "Wellington on Wednesday for London, via Panama. The Koromiko is making good progress in her loading of produce for Auckland, and it w hoped to dispatch h*r for that port to-r.-.v.row. ’.i'iio Karamti, which. 1s loading here in place of the Corinna, whoso call has been diverted, is expected to leave for Nelson nnd New Plymouth. Captain D. Todd will leave the Tahiti at Newcastle to go on holiday leave. Ha will bo relieved by Captain D. M. Aldwell. Hr A. J. M’Arthur, formerly third officer on the Tahiti, has signed on the articles of the Raranga as third officer. The Arawa was expected to leave Lyttelton this afternoon, for Port Chalmers, but owing to the min it will be to-morrow Lx> fore she can make her departure. After discharging at the southern port she will go into dock for cleaning.
