At to-day’s meeting of the Hospital Board the Institutions Committee reported that its attention had repeatedly been called to the fact that many of the old men, as they were declining in strength and mental powers, determined to leave the home. They were very apt to wander to a distance, and were at any tune in danger of being lost and suffering from exposure. In these cases it had been determined to ask whether the superintendent of police could give such instructions as would prevent the old men from wandering about. It bad to be remember ect that many of thorn were not altogether responsible for their actions.
