MUNICIPAL OFFICES.

NEW SITE SELECTED

The Office Site Committee of the City Council, reporting last night on the question of a site for municipal offices, stated that the most suitable was at the corner on the west side of Manchester Street between Oxford Terrace and Armagh Street. The position wa.s well suited for the purpose. There would be light on three sides and a further .great advantage would bp its nearness to the Electricity Department. The committee requested permission to enter into negotiations for the flpurchase of the»property. and, if necessary, to commence proceedings for taking it under the Public Works Act. The report was adopted after lengthy consideration in committee.
