DANCE AT “AVONBANK.”

At “ Avonhank,” Eendalion. the rosideuco of Mr and Mrs Georgo Gould, tho Carnival Week festivities were brought to a close by an impromptu dance. The dance was extempore, inasmuch as it was decided upon on (Saturday, but the arrangements were delightful and the dance an enjoyable one. The house is admirably adapted for entertaining, and the big reception rooms were charmingly arranged with flowers and palms. On the supper-table wore pink azaleas in crystal vases, while rhododendrons were also used. Mrs George Gould wore a handsome gown ot black sa.tin charuieuso with a. jot tunic overdress; .Miss Hester Gould wore a frock of pink channeuso veiled in black nimm and trimmed with silver passementerie; Miss Barbara Gonld was in a very pretty white n.inon and bteo frock; and Mrs Roger Gonld wore a becoming draped gown of rose-pink brocade.
