RIFLE SHOOTING.
The Christchurch Defence Rifle Club held Us fourth short range competition this afternoon. A south-west wind made the shooting very difficult. Tho ranges wore 300, 500 and 600 yards. The competition was won "by C. 13, Burford, who made 97, including seven handicap. A Halmshaw (sor) was second with 96, and A. J. Bcaven third with 95
