RELAXATION DANCE.
IVl^l KWee^ . fragrance of Olu World legends, last night was happily chosen for the Canterbury College relaxation dance- Hallowe’en was hold by some to ho a time when young men were more than usually likely to moot their brides. Certainly the warm wind which blew mysteriously around the college quadrangle and orcr the columned parings last night must have gathered un many sweet words and much naj.pv music. The college hall was weil filled with a larre and vivacious assemblage. Flannels were the prevailing fashion, and very cool and graceful thev looked. The “ an ™ formed, a very' nleasant prelude to the long vacation, Tho decorations were in maroon and gold, the college colours, with tho addition of palms, a delicious snnpor was served on flowerclocked tables in an open portico. Music was provided by Miss McDonald nnd nor assistants. Tho committee consisted of Misses Parsons Archie nnd Thompson and Messrs N. M. Richmond and R. B, Penhngton. The chaperones were Mesdames Salrnoncl. Caine, Hig.it and Dr Eight. Amongst those present were Professor and Mrs Wall. Messrs Lirmgrtono, Baird, Shrimp ton, Longnet, Cnthbert, Farrell. F, G.
