SWIMMING.
SYDENHAM CLUB, The annual meeting of the Sydenham Swimming Club was held last night, loera was s fair attendance of members, most of them being recently' returned from the war. In the absence-of'the'president (Mr W. J. Putnam), Mr C. Kent took the ebair. The chairman welcomed Lack the returned soldier members, and stated that although swimming had been '‘dead" during the war period, he looked forward to a very successful coining season. Twelve new members were elected to the club, and two resignations were received. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £5 Is 6d, It was resolved that members’ .subscriptions for the coming season should be;*— Seniors 7s 6d, juniors 6s, school bpya 2s Sd, also that the opening of the season should take place on Saturday. November L. It was decided to hold the first race of the season on November 13. The election of officers resulted as follows; Patron, Mr G. T. Booth; president, Mr W. J.
