CRICKET.

NORTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. A meeting o{ the North Canterbury Cricket Association was held at Rangiora yesterday afternoon. Mr A. E. Cook presided over a good attendance of delegates. It was decided to accept an offer ot tho Canterbury Cricket Association to play a match in Christchurch on Saturday and a return match at Rangiora on Anniversary Day. A request from the Sefton Club for a handicap of two men was refused. It was resolved that eight balls should constitute an over for the remainder of tho cup competition. In the North Canterbury Cricket Association’s cup matches, played on- Saturday at Ohoka, Gust met and defeated Ohoka. Batting first, Ohoka made 56 (Reeves 10), Gust replied with 164 for eight wickets (Cowcns 83, M’Kenzio 30, G-ingavon 14. Smith 11. Sail 10). In their second innings Ohoka made 13 for seven wickets. For Gust, Blußdeh, Smifhi Sail, M’Kenzie and IV. Sail bowled beat, and for Ohoka Moitland, Bowers, Reeves and Penrose.
