WAIRAU VALLEY TRAGEDY.
CORONER’S VERDICT

BLENHEIM, October 14. The Coroner, at the inquest into the Wairau Valley tragedy, returned a verdict that the deceased, George O’Leary, died of acute dilation of the heart, accelerated by a blow struck at the deceased by Charles Albert Sasse. The Coroner added that, in view of the probability of further proceedings, it was not advisable, for him to say anything further at the present stage.
