ANNUAL COMPETITIONS. Thfl annual competitions held under the auspices of the Canterbury Caledonian Society were concluded on Saturday. The entries totalled 140. The judges were I">ancingr. Mr V,'. Kilgour; piping, Mr Jainos Allan; ana singing and reciting, Mr H Gladstone Hill. The pipers for the dancinwere Pipe-Major Erskine. Pipers J. Shanna° han, James Allan, L. Shields, R. Milne andH- Legge. Champion points were a-warded as follows—Muriel Wangh, first, 10 points; L. Ed°inton second, 7 poinu: Emilv Turner and Violet Robertson, equal, third, 5 points each. Results on Saturday were as follow* • Highland fling (1919 pupils. girls>—Vera M'Donald 1, Mabel Dalton 2.' Twenty-four others competed.
