SHOPS AND OFFICES ACT. [From Our Correspondent.] AVELLINGTON, October 6. Air Al’Gombs had an interview with Sir Francis Bell and Air Massey regarding the Shops and Offices’ Act Amendment Bill. Air Alassoy promised to consider taking over as a Government measure the Bill, which proposes to limit the hours of labour to 40J hours per week, make a half-holidav compulsory notwithstanding if another holiday occurs in the week, to repeal the limitation of £3 17s 6d in respect of the payment of overtime, and to make Easter Saturday a statutory holiday.
