A “ linen sheerer 55 afternoon was given vesterday by Mrs Cvril Ward, Menvalo, in honour of Miss Othlie n - whoso marriage to Captain J. M Arthur is to take place next week, itach guest took something “ soft and r which resulted in a number of dainty articles for the bride-elect. The reception rooms were arranged with daffodils and mauve hyacinths. Dunng the afternoon musical items were given by Miss D. Lawrie and the Misses Mina and Mary Ward. An amusing competition held resulted in Mjss Viya Robinson and Miss Mina Ward winning the prizes. Those present included Mrs W. S. Bean, Miss Molly Bean, Mrs Cayley-Robinson and the Misses Robinson. Mrs Malfroy. Mrs George Clarkson, Mrs Alfred Nicholls, W. Freeman, Miss Fdna Henaerson. Miss Stella Murray. Miss Dot Cook, Miss Lorna Bean. Miss T- Reading. Miss Cicely Pratt and Miss Kdxth Stocker.
