STAFF APPOINTMENTS. >4 P*rs* AsaociimoTr.] VGELLINGTOX, September 29. It was announced last week that fortj’-eight candidates had been selecjed to undergo a three months’ qualilication course at Trenthanr, prior to appointment to the New Zealand Stall Coi ps. which is now very much tinder the peace strength, owing to war losses and on account of ago, medical unfitetc. It is now officially staged in this connection that the question ot nominating the low officer?, required to complete the establishment of the Iloyal Nov/ Zealand Artillery, Engineers and Ar.ny Sendee Corps, the three specialist branches, was not consioered by the Hoard of Selection, which recently assembled at General Headquarters. This matter will be considered at a later date, when the requirements are more fully known.
