Messrs Lever Brothers have acquired the Southern Whale Fishing Company. It is understood that the price is £750,000. This is the only British company operating in South Georgia Island. (South Georgia is a barren Island of the Atlantic, 550 miles E.S.E. of the Falkland Islands.)
