The position of tho ironfounders’ strike continues serious. Tho stocks at the largest foundries are likely to bo exhausted in a fortnight and at tho smaller works in a low days. Tho injury tc the industry will he greater, , a ® engineering trade is booming. Ihe Ministry of Labour refuses to negotiate for a settlement, adjudgum the men guilty of a breach of their agreement. The men assert that the agreement empowered their withdrawal after compliance with certain conditions, which they state were observed after fruitless negotiation.
