Speaking at the annua] meeting of the lumgiora Rifle Defence Club last evening, Captain AV. Atwell, Group CoDimandei , said that there had boon much dissatisfaction in rifle clubs owing to the shortage of rifles and rifle barrels. In the future clubs would be equipped with the peep sight 1914 rifle, which had been used in Trantham. . The new rifles wore expected to arrive in about six. months R hen issuing them, the Department would allow riflemen a rebate on their old rifles. The use of the new rifle would be made compulsory.
