— : — ANNUAL BALL. The annual ball in connection with the Returned Soldiers’ Association is to be held in tue Colosseum on Friday bpptemoer 19, the proceeds to go in jud oi the Aiemorial Club. Reading, Alessrs A. 11 Campbell, H. T. Knight, E. Orchard' P ‘ w M te allU mf burner and G- Avright. The treasurer is Air V M. Edgar, and the secretary Air w! G. Leadley. Invitations have been sent out to all but the returned soldiers—they are to come without a special invitation. Tins was decided on by the committee because there are so many returned soldiers throughout Canterbury whose addresses are so vague, and it was considered by the committee' to be the wisest plan.
