H.M.S. NEW ZEALAND.
BILLETTINC BUREAU. OPENED IN CATHEDRAL SQUARE. Under the direction fo Mr R. A. Kenner, secretary of the Y.M.C.A., a small tent was erected at the southern end of the tramway shelter in Cathedral Square this morning. It will be used as a billeting bureau for the men of H.M.S. New Zealand. A number of Boy Scouts ,arc in constant attendance, ready to direct sailors to whatever point in the city they desire to arrive at. A genuine response has been received to the call for billets for the men, and about forty or fifty men will be accommodated in the homes of the citizens tonight. In addition extensive sleeping additions have been provided at the Y.M.C.A. in order to casure that no man on leave from the shin need go back to it until the period of his leave has expired notes. . To-morrow evening the women’s section of tho Navy' League will entertain the petty officers and men of H.M.S. New Zealand to a concert, followed by a dance, at tho Colosseum. The entertainment will begin at 7 p.m., and members and friends of the Navy League are specially invited to attend. Tho reception given in honour of Lady Jollicoe by the Victoria League will bo held in the Masonic Hall at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday next.
